Mobile Phones: Changing the Way You Communicate
Times are changing now and so are we. And so is the way we communicate. Remember the olden days when there used to be a five kg plastic or metallic structure at home, which we termed as a telephone? With such great pride we used to boast about having a phone at home- as if it was such a big thing. Way back then it was, now it is not.
Somebody once said - change is the only thing that is constant. How true it is. Could you have ever imagined that from those rocky phones we would slip to these amazingly sleek cell phones? Those were the phone, which a child could not even hold properly in his hands and these are the phones, which are not even visible in a child’s hand. Now, that’s what you call- change.
Mobile phones have changed the way we used to communicate. When mobile phones were first launched, the society was swayed away by this new wave. The mobile phone sets then used to be like cordless phone (size wise). The difference being that these could be carried anywhere and were not restricted to a radius of 100 meters like a cordless set. But within a couple of years these mobile phones shed off all their extra weight and more. Some rigorous exercise must have been the reason behind this! Very soon from XXX Large size, they came down to Large, then to Medium and then to Small. But the best was when these mobile phones were launched in their latest avatars- The XX Small. I used to think that XXX L, L etc. were only clothes sizes but now I realize that these measurements are for purposes ore than one.
