Nokia N78 - Innovative Design Flaw Fixed

Even wonder why your N78 sometimes mistakes left soft key with the answer key?  Instead of opening the menu as you wanted you get the phone interface - something you are entitled to be mad at. As it turns out, the left soft key and the answer key are on the same circuit, for the phone to distinguish what key was pressed it relies on the light sensor beneath the left soft key.  When the sensor below the left soft key is covered, pressing either soft/answer key will give a left key response, funny, eh?

Sometimes the circuit gets a little bit confused and ignores the light sensor’s input, so it treats the left soft key as an answer button instead.  To fix this, hold (but not press) a finger on top of the left key and press the answer key with another finger.  It forces the light sensor to reset and the problem can be resolved.
